Waldorf Studio

Waldorf Studio

Waldorf Studio is an intimate home-based creative space founded in New York by artist and designer Effe Qi HE and photographer & fashion model Tiger ZiRan ZHOU. As the art and cultural initiative under Effe Waldorf, the studio extends the brand’s vision beyond fashion into a multidisciplinary practice.

Rooted in the dual influences of Chinese collective cultural upbringing and New York fashion education, the studio seeks to explore the delicate boundaries between body and identity, collective memory and personal expression. Through fashion design and photography, Waldorf Studio dissolves media boundaries, reimagines gender norms, and celebrates the poetic value of recycled materials and handcraft techniques. Each project becomes a dialogue between clothing, imagery, and art, weaving together resilience and vulnerability, tradition and reinvention.

Beyond creation, Waldorf Studio also extends its practice into the community. Based in New York and New Jersey, the studio actively engages with the local Chinese-speaking art community through workshops in fashion design and photography. These workshops are not only technical explorations but also collective experiments in storytelling, offering a shared space for cultural exchange, creative collaboration, and new ways of seeing.
